Tips for Properly Using Dicing Equipment

Just like the famous lyrics to the 1986 hit "Push It" by female hip-hop duo Salt 'n Pepa, pushing it is the proper way to dice fruits and vegetables. But, is there a right and wrong way to do this simple task? Oooh, baby, baby...yes.

Using the wrong "pusher" will result in:

  • Broken blades, which will cost extra money if you have to replace them.
  • Lost time needed to replace the broken blades and chop by hand.
  • Injury to the user.
  • Damage to the equipment.
  • Damage and loss of product which costs money and time.

Finally, make sure you have the right equipment for the job. Don't use a slicer if you want to dice, and vice versa.  Our knowledgeable sales staff is experienced in day-to-day foodservice operations and will be happy to help you choose the perfect equipment for your needs.
